Power-Brakes (Optional): The reduced effort in braking with power brakes assist the driver in bringing the car to a fast, smooth stop. Power brakes can be installed by your dealer. Caution: It is important that you do not drive the car with your foot resting or riding on the brake pedal when braking is not required. This practice can result in abnormally high brake temperatures, excessive lining wear and possible damage to the brakes. Disc Brakes (Optional Front Only): The disc brakes offer extra reserve in stopping ability and anti-fade characteristics under a variety of speed, weather and terrain conditions. These brakes do not require any adjustments. Power Steering (Optional): Power steering offers positive steering action, easier vehicle handling, and faster steering ratio which increases the driver's effective control. Power steering can be installed by your dealer. To Open Hood: The release lever is about 8 inches left of the center of the hood under the leading edge. Pull the lever to the right to unlock hood. Then move hand about 12 inches to the right and pull out the second catch handle, pull up hood. To close hood, lower to engage safety catch, then press down firmly to lock.
Convenience FeaturesGlove Compartment: As a safety precaution the door is hinged at the top to allow it to swing upward. Nevertheless, for protection of the front seat passengers the glove box door should be closed when the car is in motion. Use key with round end and lift padded door up to open. Map Pocket: Each door is equipped with a map pocket for convenience storage of maps and other small items.
