Brakes System Warning Light: The dual braking system provides an emergency braking capability in event of a failure to a portion of the hydraulic system. Failure of either half of the dual braking system is indicated by the brake warning light which will glow each time the service brake pedal is pressed.
Brake System Warning Light Warning: If brake failure is indicated, immediate repair service is necessary. Continued operation of the car in this condition is dangerous. The light bulb should be checked frequently by turning the ignition key to the "on" position with the parking brake engaged. Do not move the car until the brake released and the light is off. Ignition Switch Light (Optional): The switch is lighted when either front door is opened. The light will remain on for approximately 20 seconds after door is closed to facilitate your inserting the key.
Roadside Warning Flasher Roadside Warning System: This warning system should be used during emergency stops. Place flasher switch on "on" position and the front directional signals and taillights flash intermittently. Be sure the turn signal lever is in the neutral position. This is a warning system only and should not be used when the car is in motion. Pressure on the brake pedal will override the flasher and result in constant lights. When it is necessary to leave the car at the roadside to go for service or help. The system will continue to operate though the ignition is off. Locks
Outside Door Locks: As a precaution against theft, always lock doors when leaving the car unattended. Doors must be locked from outside with ignition key. Both doors, if locked before closing, will automatically unlock when shut. Never invite theft by leaving packages exposed inside the car. Put them in the trunk or take them with you.
