All Chrysler Corp. cars have headlight adjustment screws that are accessible without removing bezels.

Give as much attention to cleanliness of the headlights as you give to the windshield, recognizing that their low forward position subjects to even greater amounts of dirt from the road.

Headlights or Warning Signal (Optional): As a precaution against leaving the car with the lights on, an optional buzzer system can be installed. The buzzer will sound when a front door is opened if the ignition switch is "off" and the light in the "parking" or "headlight" position.

Headlight Beam Selector: Push the foot-operated button on the floor to alternate the headlights between "high" and "low" beam. A small red light in the instrument cluster indicates the the "high" beam is on. Dimming the lights for an oncoming car is a courtesy which benefits both drivers. On curved sections of all highways, dim the lights if your beams are likely to intercept the oncoming car on the curve ahead.

Instrument Panel Lighting: The degree of brightness in the instrument panel can be regulated by turning the tumbwheel up or down. To assure maximum nighttime driving visibility, it is recommended that the panel lighting be adjusted to the minimum intensity necessary to see the speedometer and other essential instruments.

Interior Lights: The dome light is turned on when a door is opened and the tumbwheel control is pushed all the way up. The map light has a switch near the lens.

Note: The instrument panel lights, the interior dome lights, and the exterior stop and taillights are all protected by the same fuse. If the fuse fails these lights will not operate. If at any time panel or dome light  is not operating make a check of the stop and taillights to be sure that they are operational and that a fuse has not failed.

Side Marker Reflectors: Your car is equipped with four side reflectors that give it a more visible profile. An amber reflector is mounted in each front fender and a red in each rear quarter panel.

Back-up Lights: These lights turn on automatically when the ignition is on and the transmission in reverse.

Turn Signal Lights: Signal automatically cancels after a normal turn, but may require manually canceling after a wide, sweeping turn. Lights on front fenders facing driver flash when turn signal is applied. Turn signals should also be used when changing lanes or leaving the curb. Signal should be given at least three seconds before beginning the maneuver.

If the flasher operates weakly or fails to flash, the possible cause is a burned out bulb. Immediate bulb replacement to restore the system is essential to safe motoring. (The heavy duty flasher used in the trailer towing package is less sensitive to electrical load variations and does not produce the usual indication of exterior bulb failing. Therefore, an occasional visual check around the car is recommended).
